Do you have a "happy place" to go to for meditation or visualization purposes? One that brings peace, provides joy, comfort and security? Is it one that you can feel safe in?

What better happy place than to not only visualize but to also feel yourself being held in God's hands. Absorb his healing power, his strength, gain wisdom, courage and answers.

Today marks the one year anniversary of my precious Mother's death. She was a woman of grace, of joy, encouragement to others, a true church lady. She taught bible class for more than 50 years and helped my Dad start the church we attend. What a blessing to be raised by two parents who were so dedicated to their Lord and God. My Dad was an elementary school principal for Abilene ISD and had multiple degrees. He began his educational career by majoring in Education with a minor in Industrial Tech. He was the son of a nurse and a train engine mechanic. He was a singer going to All State Choir while in a Technical High School. He began leading singing in church as a teenager and had a quartet in college. His college roommate was Tommy Wheeler the author and composer of the hymn "I Love the Lord". Dad never wrote any hymns but mom left behind many pages of poetry.

I will tell you more of the story of my Mom and Dad later as we discuss marriage.

But for today, I mourn the loss of a great lady. A lady who loved me like no other person on this earth because she gave me life. My parents were way before their time. They studied meditation and visualization and mind control long before it became "a thing". So my "happy place" became the hands of God.

I don't always go there to pray, but I certainly spent a lot of time there being filled with peace in the days before and after moms death.

Today I feel those hands of God holding me in the heavens. As I lay in God's hands I feel his healing power flow into my weak and sick body. I breath in the pink healing mists he provides for healing and breath out black air full of toxins, sin, and fatigue.

His hands hold me with healing comfort, I feel safe secure peace when I am there. He holds me in the clouds just below heaven. I can't go in there yet. But that is my goal in life. The Lord our God created this world and everything in it. And he created us.

"This world is not our home. We are just a passing through."

If this world is not our home, why are we here?

Why are you here? What is the purpose of the life God created you for?
